چکیده

Abstract Nephrotic syndrome (NS), which includes primary and secondary types, is one of the causes end-stage kidney disease. Common in adults include diabetic nephropathy (DN), membranous (MN), focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. About 30%–40% diabetics can develop into DN. The incidence nephrotic patients was not significantly different from that general population. Herein we present a windfall treatment rituximab combined with hydroxychloroquine patient MN A 51-year-old Chinese man, diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) 12 years ago, admitted to hospital due edema bilateral lower limbs severe proteinuria. Serology showed obvious elevation anti-phospholipase A2 receptor (anti-PLA2R) level renal biopsy concomitant After low dosage prednisone standard rituximab, patient’s proteinuria decreased; however, effect unsatisfactory elevated again 8 months. Thus, initiated, resulted diminishing albumin returning normal level. Therefore, even complicated DN, still have promising remission after being treated hydroxychloroquine.

Treatment with rituximab in idiopathic membranous nephropathy

BACKGROUND Rituximab represents a valid therapeutic option to induce remission in patients with primary glomerulonephritis. Despite several studies proving its efficacy in improving outcomes in patients with membranous nephropathy (MN), its role in therapeutic protocols is not yet defined. METHODS We studied 38 patients with idiopathic MN treated with rituximab (in 13 patients as first-line t...

We report a case of a 49-year-old male with severe nephrotic syndrome and concomitant jejunal gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST). The combination of preope...
